This Privacy Policy explains how Vêtir collects, uses, and protects information when you visit our website, use our mobile applications, or otherwise interact with our services. This Privacy Policy applies only to Vêtir-controlled services and does not govern third-party websites, brands, retailers, or services that we do not own or control.
Information We Collect or Receive
Personal information: We may collect information that you voluntarily provide to us, such as when you contact us by email, submit a request, or otherwise communicate with us through the Service.Google user data: If you choose Email Import in the Closet section of the app and grant Vêtir access to your Google account, we access Gmail messages that appear to be retail order confirmations from the last 12 months. We find them using Gmail's purchases category, order-confirmation subject lines, and known retailer senders, and we read at most 60 likely receipts per import. From those messages we extract the items you bought: product name, brand, colour, size, price, and product image. We do not access other messages or other Google account data.Automatically collected information: When you use the Service, we may automatically receive limited technical information such as device type, browser or platform information, and IP address. At this time, we do not save this technical information in our own databases.How We Use Information
We use information we collect to operate and improve the Service, respond to your inquiries, provide styling-related features, support digital closet functionality, personalize your experience, maintain security, and comply with legal obligations.How We Use Google User Data
We use Google user data only to provide the Email Import feature you have authorized: to identify the items you purchased in order-confirmation emails and add them to your digital closet, where you review and edit them. We do not use Google user data for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not use it for any purpose unrelated to providing or improving this user-facing feature.Limited Use Disclosure
Vêtir's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.AI Processing of Google User Data
To identify purchased items, the text of an order-confirmation email is processed by Microsoft Azure OpenAI, and the product image from the email is processed by the Google Gemini API to detect the item's category and colour. Both providers act as our processors, use the data only to provide this feature, and do not use it to develop, improve, or train their models. The use of raw or derived user data received from Workspace APIs will adhere to the Google User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.Sharing of Information
Google user data is shared only with the service providers that host and operate the Service (Amazon Web Services) and with the AI processors named above, each of which may use it only to provide the Service to us. We never sell, rent, or trade Google user data, and we never share it with data brokers or advertisers. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect our rights or users, or in connection with a business transfer such as a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.Third-Party Interest-Based Advertising
If you wish to opt out of third-party interest-based advertising, please visit the Network Advertising Initiative and Digital Advertising Alliance resources for details on available opt-out choices. We take commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to help protect information from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.Google user data is transmitted over encrypted (TLS) connections. Google access tokens are used only for the duration of an import and are never stored. Extracted closet data is kept in access-controlled systems available only to personnel who need it to operate the Service.Retention and Deletion of Google User Data
We do not store your Google access or refresh tokens; each import requires a fresh consent. We do not keep the contents of your emails or their message identifiers once an import has finished. Our AI processors may retain submitted content for up to 30 days for abuse monitoring, after which it is deleted. The closet items you add remain in your account until you delete them in the app or delete your account, at which point they are deleted from our systems. You can revoke Vêtir's access to your Google account at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.Important Notice to Non-U.S. Residents
The Service and its servers are operated in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, processed, maintained, and used in jurisdictions where privacy laws may differ from those in your location.Changes to This Privacy Policy
